Join us for a joint meeting of the IIBA Palmetto and DC Metro Chapters! During this session, Lawrence Reid will share tips for devising an action plan for BAs to manage newly inherited software applications effectively. Online networking starts at 6:00 PM, and the presentation will begin at 6:30 PM EST.
As Business Analysts, we often work with existing software applications from various manufacturers or business partners. These applications may be implemented across the enterprise, within a few departments, or used by a single team. But whatever the scale, successful systems integration, user adoption, and maintenance require business analysis expertise.

What do you do when you “inherit” responsibilities for software applications?

Although such experiences can be challenging, using a battle-tested approach can make the work seem less daunting.

Action Plan Steps:
  1. Understand the Current Setup
  2. Review Security and Permissions
  3. Data Cleanup and Maintenance
  4. Backup and Disaster Recovery
  5. Customization and Configuration
  6. User Training and Adoption
  7. Monitor System Performance
  8. Integration and Automation
  9. Document Everything
  10. Stay Informed
Join us as Lawrence Reid shares tips for success using his prioritized action plan!
