Enhancing Business Effectiveness through Storytelling

IIBA Palmetto & DC Metro Chapters
Joint Virtual Meeting

Wednesday, February 15, 2023
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM EST (GMT - 5 hours)

Premise
Business Effectiveness requires a deep understanding of business challenges, the people who are impacted, and what solutions look like and do. The ability to mine a story for deep meaning and understanding refines and sharpens awareness and assumptions about business concerns to improve concepts, insights, and perspectives to guide and control action.

Objective
The purpose of this program is for participants to experience enhancing business effectiveness through storytelling by listening to a narrative and then working through example questions and issues to achieve and validate meaningful insights anchored in a clear and deep understanding of business terms and ideas embedded in the story.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the connection between business effectiveness and storytelling
  • Mine a story for content related or applicable to business
  • Explore the content of the story within context to clarify and deepen understanding
  • Launch a go-forward use of the approach
