Lunch and Learn Series: Technique Boutique - User Stories 4/13/21
Get ready for the next session of our Lunch and Learn series! Here’s an opportunity to take a break from your workday to enhance your BA skillset and share your knowledge with your fellow BAs. In our second Technique Boutique session (hosted with our sister chapters, IIBA Ottawa-Outaouais and IIBA Halifax), we will explore User Stories.
Are you a waterfall/predictive BA who wants to understand the agile mindset? Do you want to learn how to transition from writing user requirements to writing user stories? Are you already an agile BA, but need to create user stories from existing requirements documentation? If so, join us to learn some tips and tricks to implement this technique.
About our facilitator, Karaleise Wahrmann:
Karaleise has worked as a business analyst for over 10 years. Originally, she studied Computer Science Engineering at the bachelor’s level, and then completed a master’s degree in Project Management and Engineering – so where does business analysis fit in? Well, initially, it didn’t. She didn't even know such a career existed.
Karaleise discovered the field of business analysis while working as a support engineer in the insurance industry. She found it to be a better fit for her and has honed it as her career since then. Currently, she works as a Product Manager for a SaaS (Software as a Service) start-up. She also makes contributions to the BA community through her blog, YouTube channel, and Facebook group. Karaleise was born in Jamaica, has traveled the world, and currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
