In my workplace, 'Bake Off,' human-centered design (HCD) is our star recipe. With empathy as the main ingredient, we focus on the master bakers – our employees – who create our products and serve experiences.
My recent project involved observing, interviewing, and workshopping with employees – gathering only the freshest ingredients. We kneaded this data, proving it to find key themes, and presented our showstopper ideas to the judges (stakeholders). Like in the Bake-Off tent, the best results come from collaboration. Change rises when you whisk together ideas from those doing the work, folding in their suggestions.
Join us to explore how HCD can use business analysis (BA) techniques to characterize the current state and elicit ideas for future improvements.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Understand the core concepts of human-centered design (HCD)
- Identify BA techniques that support HCD
- Discover how to optimize BA techniques to achieve HCD goals
