August BA Career Series - I nearly quit
"I nearly quit!" and more stories for handling the roughest times at work
FREE Virtual Partnership Event
Thursday, August 24, 2023
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time (GMT - 4 hours)
In our BA Career Series sessions, in partnership with Ryland Leyton and other IIBA chapters, we will investigate specialized and complementary careers in business analysis, such as Agile Analyst, Business Relationship Management, Change Management, Product Ownership Analyst, Project Management, and others.
Have you had those moments at work where you just wanted to quit? Have you been so mad, hurt, or fearful that you didn't know what to do? Did you have a difficult stakeholder or a conflict with a co-worker, and you couldn't stop replaying the encounter over and over again in your mind? Of course, you have. Everyone has. Handling these moments can be hard. However, knowing how to handle them successfully is essential to your development as a professional - in any field. In this session, Ryland will share some of those types of moments from his life, the physical and psychological factors that affect us in those rough minutes, and strategies and tactics for handling them.
Note: For most presentations in this series, Ryland leaves plenty of time for Q&A at the end, and the session recordings are available for 30 days to registrants.
